This weekend my wife needed a new headshot for her business as an occupational therapist. She isn’t your standard run of the mill OT, though. Her practice is holistic and all about facilitating deep physical, emotional, and spiritual work for her clients. I wanted a set of images that accurately reflected that, but it also had to present her as personable and fun. It had to reflect the spiritual without being cheesy, and it had to grab your eye at a variety of sizes. As with many of my images, I knew that the answer to all this was going to be color. Color is a powerful narrative device that can unify an image, set a tone, and really make the difference in a good image.
If you happen to be in the Portland, Oregon area and you’d like to see Amy to shift a health challenge and explore the deeper levels of healing available to you, reach her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Oh! And since we were stealing a moment to shoot some images together, we decided to grab a new one of our growing up way too fast, and soon to be going off to college, 19 month old baby boy.
